it should also be available as a pure Windows application.

A Spectrum emulator for PowerMac with MacOS or Linux with X11. Based on MacSpectacle, which is
also available from the same site.

A nice Spectrum emulator for Unix machines with the X Window system. The emulator is shareware, but the demo
version covers all the basic needs. Registration fee certainly isn't a fortune (USD 25 or EUR 25), and there
are many ways to pay it.
